Building connections, enriching lives
Senior Friends Network fights loneliness by pairing younger volunteers with seniors for friendly phone calls, visits, and life-story sharing. We bring joy and connection to older adults while giving the next generation purpose, empathy, and real relationships.
Our mission
Senior Friends Network gently brings warmth and friendship to seniors through kind phone conversations and the recording of their life stories. We help every older adult feel truly valued and know they still matter, while giving volunteers of all ages (including people like our founder who happily take calls themselves) a quiet sense of purpose and belonging through simple, inclusive human connection.
Core Values
Every Person Matters – We listen with care because every voice and every story deserves to be heard and cherished.
Kindness Without Barriers – Our doors are open to all seniors and all volunteers; inclusiveness is how we keep it friendly and real.
Gentle Purpose – A single call or shared memory can quietly lift two lives at once—senior and volunteer alike.
Our services
Senior Friends Network brings gentle companionship to older adults through friendly, regular phone calls filled with warm conversation and care, life-story recordings lovingly turned into keepsakes for families, and special birthday and holiday calls so no one feels forgotten—all offered completely free, open to everyone, and rooted in simple kindness.
Friendly Phone Companionship
Regular, scheduled phone calls (15–60 minutes) matched to each senior’s interests and personality. Volunteers of all ages (teens to retirees) provide warm conversation, laughter, and a listening ear.
Life-Story Recording & Preservation
One-on-one sessions (by phone or in person when possible) to gently record a senior’s memories, family stories, and life lessons. Finished recordings are edited into beautiful audio keepsakes and given free to the senior and their loved ones.
Birthday & Holiday Calls
Special birthday, holiday, or “thinking of you” calls to make sure no senior feels forgotten on important days.
Intergenerational Pen-Pal Program
Handwritten or emailed letters between seniors and volunteers who prefer writing to talking.

About us
Senior Friends Network began with a heartfelt wish: that no senior ever feels forgotten and no cherished story ever fades away.
Many older adults long for simple, friendly conversation and someone who truly listens. At the same time, precious memories—family recipes, life lessons, childhood tales—are quietly slipping away when loved ones pass.
We’re here to change that. Through warm, unhurried phone calls and gentle life-story recordings, we help seniors feel seen, valued, and remembered. Every recording becomes a lasting gift for their families, and one day we hope these stories will be shared so the world can see how extraordinary ordinary lives truly are.
